Title: Liqueur Damiana-De-California
Categories: Beverages Herb
Yield: 1 Servings

4c80 proof vodka
2cSugar
2cDistilled water
3/4ozDamiana-de-California *

* turnera diffusa var. aphrodisiaca

Soak the Daminana in the vodka infussion for 5 days. Strain off the leaves. Filter. Meanwhile, dissolve the sugar in the distilled water; bring to a boil then cool. Combine the sugar syrup with the vodka infusion. Let age for one month. Refilter if necessary, then bottle.

This is still a very popular liqueur in Mexico and is now being imported into this country. It comes in a female shape bottle. This liqueur compares very well.
